Building strong men to strengthen families and create safer communities for children.
Why Rebuilding Broken Men Exists
What We Believe
We believe that:
Men can heal, grow, and take responsibility for their lives
Strong men create safer environments for children
Families thrive when adults are present, equipped, and accountable
Prevention is more effective than repair
Children need safe, loving, and nurturing home environments to thrive.
Generational change begins with intentional formation
Rebuilding Broken Men is not about fixing people — it is about building what was never properly formed.
Our Mission
Rebuilding Broken Men Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking and ending generational cycles of trauma, abuse, and family instability by providing trauma-informed education, prevention, mentorship, and community-based support services to men, children, and families impacted by domestic violence and adversity.
Through coordinated services, advocacy, and public education, the organization works to promote healing, strengthen families, and improve long-term safety and stability in communities across the United States of America, with a commitment to making communities safer for children and families.
Born out of pain, Rebuilding Broken Men Inc. exists to restore responsibility, identity, and generational strength in men — because strong families and strong communities depend on strong people.
Our work is rooted in the belief that when men are equipped to grow, lead, and take responsibility, families become more stable and children are better protected. By investing in formation and prevention, we help build healthier futures for individuals, families, and communities.
Who We Serve
Rebuilding Broken Men Inc. primarily serves men, fathers, parents, children in and out of care, and families within communities most impacted by violence, abuse, instability, systemic injustices, and generational harm.
Our work is rooted in cultural understanding, lived experience, and a deep commitment to protecting children and strengthening families.
While our focus is specific, our doors are open to individuals and partners aligned with our mission and values.
What We Are — and What We Are Not
Rebuilding Broken Men provides educational, developmental, and support-based programming. We do not provide clinical therapy, medical treatment, or legal services.
When appropriate, we help connect individuals and families to licensed professionals or community resources to complement — not replace — professional care.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
Strengthening families and communities across the United States
Integrity and fiscal responsibility in our work
Accountability in our leadership
Respect for individuals and families
Responsible partnerships with communities and institutions
Long-term impact over short-term solutions
Meaningful change requires consistency, humility, and a willingness to stay the course.
Protecting children and strengthening families is essential to the health of our communities and our nation.
Meet the Founder, CEO & Executive Director
Mr. Joshua Gaston was born in Manhattan, New York, and raised upstate New York in the heart of the mountainous Hudson Valley.
His ancestry in America is rich and deep.
His heritage on American soil dates back well beyond the Civil War. His grandfather fought in the Korean War. His great-great-grandfather fought in the Civil War with the Union Army’s 25th US Colored Infantry, a legacy for which he is grateful.
Advocacy runs through his veins.
Mr. Gaston is also no stranger to pain. He experienced multiple forms of Adverse Childhood Experiences, including the death of his father.
At the age of 15, after witnessing his father fight valiantly in the war against cancer, he suddenly bid his father farewell.
He has since built a life dedicated to helping others heal from the very wounds they often carry silently and to unlocking lives full of potential.
Through therapy, faith, education, community, and service particularly to survivors of abuse and foster youth, Mr. Gaston is convinced that he has found the blueprint which gave birth to Rebuilding Broken Men Inc.
